フランス語の天文情報の読み方

フランス語の天文情報の読み方は、Google translate等の機械翻訳により仏→英に変換することで
大体の内容を把握できます（日本語への機械翻訳と異なり、欧米系言語同士では機械翻訳もかなり
実用的レベルに達しているので）。簡単な例文で実用性を確認してみます。
■Google translateによる仏語→英語訳の例としてパスカルのパンセの有名な文章（考える葦）を下記
に示します。これを見ると一応意味が分かる文章になっています。
＜フランス語原文＞

●Google Translateの問題点
・oculaireの訳が間違っている（eyeとなっている）。→オクラーのままにするか、アイピースにすべき。
・pas-de-visの訳が間違っている（no-screwとなっている）。→ネジのピッチ、とすべき。
・les instruments fort ouvertsの訳が「very open instruments」と直訳になっている。
→ouvertには、下記のように「焦点比」の意味があります。

■まとめ
Google translateの機械翻訳（仏→英）を利用することは、効率上非常に有効。但し、訳が違っている箇所
（特に天文で使用する用語や表現）もあるので原文を確認して訂正することが必要。
